Mobility Stretch with Meditation – Donation Workshop For VOLAR (Zoom)

January 17 @ 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

This is a 60-minute donation class for mixed levels and is open to all. Gently warm-up your body with stability exercises, then reach, stretch, and move in mobility work to improve functional fitness, strength in range of motion, fascial release, body awareness, posture, and joint ease. We will finish up with a short guided meditation.

In this workshop we will:

Gently warm up the body with breathing and core stability exercises

Ease through stiffness with standing, sitting, lying down, and on all-fours stretches

Enjoy a 10 minute, seated guided meditation at the end.

Items you need for the movement part of the class:
a mat, a yoga strap, and about a shoulder-width of space at a nearby wall. Some people like to have a blanket of cushion to sit on.

For the meditation, you only need a comfortable place to sit.

Village of Love and Resistance (VOLAR) is co-creating a cooperative community in East Baltimore owned by Black and Brown people, to create opportunities for historical residents to acquire, rehab, and sell/rent property to build wealth.
