New to Vinyasa: Yoga for Beginners (4 week series) with Julia Paddison

Are you curious about yoga, but don’t know where to start? Have you taken a yoga class before, but felt that it moved too fast or found it to be confusing? This four-week series is designed for true beginners or for those looking for a review of the fundamentals. Allow Julia Paddison to guide you in a welcoming, frustration-free environment. The series is capped at a small size to ensure individual attention. Julia with lead you through the basics of vinyasa yoga, and will teach you how to modify postures for your body by intelligently using yoga props, such as blocks and straps.
This series breaks down the traditional progression of vinyasa yoga into basic components. Students will move through an accessible and fun yoga sequence, gradually building on the previous week’s instruction. Students are encouraged to ask questions.
Week 1: Vinyasa movements, including breath, bandhas, and drishti
Week 2: Sun salutations
Week 3: Standing and seated postures
Week 4: Backbends and closing postures
What to Bring: a yoga mat, water, towel, and an open mind!
What to Wear: comfortable clothing that will allow you to move freely.
Cost is $95, which includes the four week series with Julia and three free classes to use on any of our regularly scheduled classes during the course series.
