Dark to Light: The Only Way Out is Through (STUDIO) with Rachel Joyce Immersion Weekend Yin Yoga

March 6 - March 7

Dark to Light: The Only Way Out is Through (STUDIO) with Rachel Joyce
Immersion Weekend
Sat Date: Mar 06 2021 – Mar 07 2021 From: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Pain held in the body, mind, and heart can seem agonizingly eternal so it is natural to avoid, hide, and look away from the hurt. Adverting our gaze from pain creates blind spots, dark spots in our minds, in our hearts, and in our bodies, yet yogic wisdom teaches us the only way to be liberated from pains, sufferings, and darkness – dukah – is to shine light on them. When we lift our gaze turning our awareness toward our pain bodies, we illuminate their dark spaces by cultivating understanding, relationship, and practice with the intention to free those pains. When we walk through the darkness carrying these lights, only then can the fears, injuries, dis-eases, disturbances, and wounds, truly be released, let go, and, healed. In the depths of winter, we offer a safe and sacred space to go inside our pain bodies guided by the wisdom of yogic practices coupled with Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk’s book The Body Keeps the Score to learn and embody the lightness of liberation. The only way out of the darkness is through it.

Your Teacher:
Rachel has often said Yoga saved her life. In her temple (yoga practice), she found refuge during her darkest and desperate hours. By staying in her temple, or devotion to the practice, she has become more than her suffering. Little by little, moment by moment, pose by pose, breath by breath, she achieved empowerment. She believes we can heal, we can build, we can love, we can connect, and we can unite through the power of practice.
