5 Nonprofits You Should Consider on this Giving Tuesday

We kick off this season of generosity with #GivingTuesday on December 3rd. This is a time to remember how fortunate we are – and to consider sharing some of our fortune with those that could benefit greatly. Here’s 5 nonprofits that we feel are well worth your consideration this season.

For the Environment…

One Percent for the Planet

1% for the Planet connects businesses, individuals, and nonprofits, empowering all of us to drive big, positive change. They bring dollars and doers together to accelerate smart environmental giving. Connecting their members with high-impact nonprofit partners that align with their values and add to their brand story.

For the Girls…

She’s the First

She’s the First fights gender inequality by supporting girls who will be the first in their families to graduate high school and by training students everywhere to be global citizens. They find, fund, and support solutions that not only educate and empower girls but also build up the communities where they are able to flourish.

For our Youth…

Mindfulness 4 Youth

This non-profit children’s charity is dedicated to fighting the vices of destruction, anger, anxiety and depression in the lives of young adults and children.

Mindfulness 4 Youth provides access to mindfulness and

movement instructions to students and staff members in public schools and institutions in underserved areas. They help participants increase self-awareness and emotional regulation, improve attention and focus, cultivate compassion, and develop resilience and adaptability when faced with challenging circumstances.

For those Who are Sick…

Yoga Bridge

Yoga Bridge provides evidence-based coping strategies to complement medical treatment for cancer and recovery. The Texas-based nonprofit offers free and low-cost yoga programs to all people affected by cancer. Students are part of a nurturing community where they find relief from fatigue, muscle weakness, and stress.

For the Hungry…

Feeding America

In a country that wastes billions of pounds of food each year, it’s almost shocking that anyone in America goes hungry. Yet every day, there are millions of children and adults who do not get the meals they need to thrive.

The Feeding America network is the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, working to connect people with food and end hunger. Donors, staff, and volunteers all play an important role in our efforts to end hunger in the United States.
