Some Like It HOT: Hot Yoga in Virginia

Hot yoga is hot!

Heat or no heat? It’s a big question many yogis face when selecting yoga classes. Generally, room temperatures range from 90 to 105 degrees. There are many benefits to hot yoga, including increased flexibility, toxin elimination through sweat, and reduced risk of injury.  But on the flip side, there’s a downside and risks as well. It’s important to make sure your body is OK with the heat. We recommend talking to your yoga teacher, and consulting your physician if you have any questions or health concerns.

Once you deem that the heat is safe for you, what it really comes down to is…

Do you LIKE it hot?

Many yogis crave the heat and sweat – and the feeling like they have rinsed and wrung it all out at the end of class. Others prefer a warm room, or no heat at all.  If you like to fan the flame, we’ve put together a list of studios that offer mostly, if not all, hot yoga in Virginia!
