An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Thursday, repeating until May 23, 2019

* For anyone dealing with their own destructive habits or addictive behaviors or affected by those behaviors in others. No previous experience with yoga is required. This series will include a combination of group discussion, lecture, asana (yoga movement), pranayama, and meditation.

Time: 6-8 pm
Cost: 3 options to pay-what-you-can for the entire 6-week series: $72 | $105 | $120
What to bring: Yoga mat, notebook and pen. Please wear your yoga attire.
Are you struggling with destructive habits or addictions? In this 6-week yoga and ayurveda series, come clear the way for healing. Tools and practices from yoga and ayurveda will be explored to enhance your current recovery journey and help release those habits and behaviors that keep us in bondage. In this series we will learn the principles that yoga, ayurveda, and 12-step programs* can offer us to move to a healthier way of living and being. Using techniques that delve deep into our compulsive behaviors and developing sustainable take home tools/practices, this class is a stepping stone toward healing and empowerment.
* Please note, this series is not a 12-step affiliated program. This series is meant to serve as a complementary resource.

There is a cancellation fee after you sign up. There are no refunds given for cancellations within 48 hours of the start of the series.
About Billie Carroll, 200-RYT:
Spiritual seeker and Project Yoga Richmond Ambassador, Billie has had an on and off again love affair with yoga for the past 30 years. She considered herself married to yoga when she got her first certification in 2015. She has traveled to the birthplace of yoga in Rishikesh India to study Sattva Yoga with one of the most respected yoga gurus of our day Anand Mehrotra. Her passion is making the healing power of yoga accessible to all. She works with diverse sections of the population and her classes are geared for everyone and every BODY. She is a certified in yoga teacher in Hatha, Sattva, Yin, as well as Yoga of 12-Step Recovery and trauma-informed yoga. She is also a certified Yoga of Recovery counselor and a partner of the Yoga and Body Image Coalition. Billie has been in recovery for 16 years and is grateful to be able to give what she has so graciously received. “Yoga has taught me to love and accept who I am as well as who I am becoming.”
