Medical Yoga 2019

May 19, 2019 @ 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Since 1999, the Yoga Research Society and Jefferson’s Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine (now the Marcus Institute of Integrative Medicine-Myrna Brind Center) have presented MEDICAL YOGA, an annual Sunday event at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

The program begins with a morning Classical Yoga workshop and discussion led by Dr. Vijayendra Pratap, Founder/Director of the Yoga Research Society. A buffet lunch follows, catered by Govinda’s Vegetarian Restaurant.

The afternoon features a presentation by a respected clinician or researcher in some aspect of medicine, nutrition or other wellness related areas.

For the YRS community, MEDICAL YOGA is an opportunity to spend the day with Dr. Pratap and each other, host a memorable guest Speaker, and celebrate the coming of spring.

10:30 – 12:30 pm: DR. VIJAYENDRA PRATAP, The Role of Yoga in Health & Healing
