IN STUDIO Therapeutic Yoga for Anxiety

This two hour workshop will provide you a tool kit you can count on during these anxious and stressful times.
Anxiety is the body’s natural response to stress. Many times you can self-regulate, but what do you do if you are stuck in a cycle of anxiety and unable to self-regulate effectively?
In this workshop you will:
• Learn about the impact of anxiety on the body, mind, emotions, and habitual patterns of behavior
• Increase awareness of the signals coming from the body
• Identify triggers and raise your awareness of sabotaging behaviors
• Discover the impact of tools designed to counter anxiety and balance the nervous system
• Learn to ground yourself when anxiety begins to take over and your mind spins
• Learn to build and maintain your focus when distractions, negative self-talk, and rumination project you into the future or lead to procrastination
• Practice mindfulness techniques and yogic tools that cultivate inner resources for self-regulation
Participants will need:
journal
pen
yoga mat
pillow
blanket
Location: Mind the Mat – Del Ray.
CLASS LIMITED TO 5 PARTICIPANTS
Instructor will meet participants at the front door
Participants will enter and exit the studio one at a time
The ventilation system and air purifiers will be in use
Please arrive and leave with a mask, though mask can be removed during the workshop once you are on your mat.
Keep your mat 10 ft apart from others at all times.
Be mindful of social distancing and sanitation.
Please bring your own mat, plenty of water and hand sanitizer.
Hydrate before, during, and after class.
