Combine the pleasure of food with the science of yoga under Gurudevi Nirmalananda’s guidance and care. Improve the health of both body and mind by using the tools of Svaroopa® yoga, including breathing practices, poses, vichara, mantra and contemplations. Gurudevi will guide you through the process of transforming your relationship with food as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and your life.

This course is not about WHAT you eat. This is about your enjoyment of the food you do eat, as well as how it fits in with the other sources of bliss in your life. Gurudevi will help you uncover some of the hidden factors in your decision-making process about what you’re eating. First she will give you a practice to improve your digestion and elmination, along with teachings that help you understand the process. Cultivating the conscious enjoyment of food is another lesson, along with learning how to make friends with hunger and how to plan for your meals. You’ll also learn when and how to eat as well as how much is the right amount.

This course serves as valuable preparation for Yogic Nutrition, where Gurudevi will teach about WHAT a yogi eats. Focusing both on health as well as spiritual upliftment, she’ll integrate yogic and ayurvedic principles with the scientific to human nutrition.

Yoga of Food is offered on Zoom by video conference. Your video camera must be on, so you can see and be seen just as if you were physically in the classroom with Gurudevi and the others. If you miss a call, you may listen to the audio recording any time in the next 30 days.
