Join us for and experience prenatal and postnatal wellness and gain knowledge and experience about having a healthy pregnancy and giving your baby the healthiest start in life. Whether you’re currently pregnant, thinking about becoming pregnant, or work with pregnant moms, come learn about the tools and resources availalbe to you to find support through this beautiful journey. Get support with breast feeding, and learn how to help the baby’s digestion, sleep and healthy growth. This journey has its challenges and we at Beloved offer this program to educate, empower, support, and connect women and their families with others in the community. Love Your Baby event is a great opportunity to learning about the many aspects of prenatal & postnatal wellness and local resources available to help you have a healthy pregnancy and raise a healthy happy baby with a healthy, happy mom.

Meet professionals, providers, and local support groups in our community. Discover the resources within the Northern Virginia/DC Area to support you from prenatal to the first year of life. The health fair is a wonderful way to allow you to meet providers face to face and ask questions to be the best advocate you can be for yourself, your baby, and your family.

BE EMPOWERED SERIES

This portion of the program is dedicated to commUNITY dialogue and support. It is a safe, and nurturing space for families and women to connect, support, and empower one another. Choose one per session.

Yoga for Fertility

Your endocrine system is essential for proper hormonal balance. Yoga can help increase the energy flow through your body and improve the function of both the endocrine and reproductive system. Bring peace and vitality to your conception journey as you teach the body how to maintain homeostasis and strengthen your whole being.

Lighting a Candle- Healing Hearts

What happened? Why me? How do I move forward? These questions add to the intense and overwhelming feelings of grief and helplessness. You are not alone in making meaning out of life without your baby. Honor your baby as you light a candle, find compassion for yourself, and connect with the community of other parents who have shared the experience of losing a child. Our goal is to create a supportive and safe space to help parents find hope and healing.

Empowered Birth: Finding Our Voice for Birth & Beyond

Self-advocacy leads to empowerment and allows you to access the limitless power within you. In order to self-advocate, we must be clear and honest with ourselves, create a vision, and seek support. Learn how to find your voice for your vision for your child’s birth and beyond.

More than the Baby Blues: Post Traumatic Stress Approximately 9% of women experience postpartum post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following childbirth. Most often this is caused by a real or perceived trauma during delivery or postpartum. These traumas could include: prolapsed cord, unplanned C-section, baby going to NICU, feelings of powerlessness, or lack of support during the delivery. Many women experience significant depression following childbirth. In fact, perinatal depression is the most common complication of childbirth. You are not alone. 1 in 7 Mothers experience depression, or anxiety during pregnancy or postpartum, exhaustion, appetite or sleep disturbances mood swings, anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. Find courage to speak up and speak about your experiences. Find resources, groups and tools to support you and your family.
