Explore the benefits of yoga during this special time in our lives when the wisdom of the heart is strong. This research-based class series will invite strength and balance in the body, mind, and breath as we create a greater understanding of our yoga practices, strengthen awareness and concentration, and nourish our wisdom. We will press gently against resistance to increase courage, freedom, and strength at all levels of our practice. It will be offered both as a mat-based and a chair-based practice for all.
Contemporary research shows that yoga provides a foundation that supports the natural aging process. As we age, the practice of yoga inspires strength in the body, resilience in the mind, and nourishes the wisdom of the heart. We will explore these layers as we become attuned to our inner teacher.
Joelle is an ERYT, a 500-hour RYT, and YACEP from Yoga Alliance, and holds a C-IAYT certification from the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and received her 800-hour therapeutic yoga practitioner training at Beloved Yoga. She is excited by structural and functional anatomy and the Krishnamacharya, Desikachar, Mohan linage, is inspired by Peter Marchand and has many hours of advanced training in these traditions.
