Posture Clinic: VIRTUAL Chaturanga Workshop

October 24 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Please note: This workshop is part of a larger, more extensive 30-hour training we are offering. For more information or to register for the entire 2 weekends, see “Foundations of Teaching Yoga” under the Teacher Training Tab.

This session is taught as a module of Posture Clinics in our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, but is now being offered as a special opportunity for students of all levels who want to deepen their understanding of specialized topics. 2 Continuing Education Credits available for those who are already yoga instructors.

How many times do you practice Chaturanga in one class? In one week? In one month? Chaturanga is a foundational pose in Vinyasa (Flow Yoga), but is actually very complex.

Is your approach to Chaturanga fostering a deeper understanding of your practice and yourself, or is it perpetuating your habits? This workshop will teach you how to practice Chaturanga with greater ease. We’ll talk about the common pitfalls of Chaturanga and address the bad habits you may or may not know you’re repeating when you practice the pose. You will learn the alignment, mechanics, and anatomy of Chaturanga through fun exercises, creative prop variations, and intelligent sequencing. We will explore interesting ways to prepare and modifications that will help you access Chaturanga in your unique body.

You can expect to gain in-depth understanding of how to use this challenging pose as a means to change your patterns and prepare you for more challenging arm balances and inversions!

$60/ Members receive 15% off
*This is a workshop, no refunds. If canceled within 24 hours studio credit may be possible.*
